Ice Rod Guide Spacing

Here is a general list of guide spacings that i use.  Now keep in mind it is just a starting point.  Lots of factors should be considered including handle length, type of guides and the sizes of them.   My spacing numbers is where the front of the foot sits on and not back where the loop starts.  I found out that making it this way helps me consistently place the guides each time.  The Heavy deadstick and lake trout rods are spaced using regular high frame ceramic guides for reference.
